Explore Dublin's Georgian Architecture
This atmospheric part of Dublin around Trinity College and Merrion Square has in many ways little changed from the 18th and 19th centuries. In fact there are hopes that it will be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Pat Liddy a famous Dublin historian, whose walking tours of the city have become a cornerstone of the city's tourism is going to help you discover more about this part of the city. After a lovely walk through the complete campus of Trinity College, Ireland’s oldest university, you will come out onto a mainly 18th century part of the city which has many lovely buildings and curiosities. Here you will encounter many intriguing references to writers such William Butler Yeats, James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, including the latter’s magnificent statue.
The tour is also available in Spanish, Italian, German and French - contact us to arrange.
