Causey Farm – Be Irish For a Day & Experience Traditional Irish Culture
Looking for a unique Irish experience on your group trip? Look no further!
Causey Farm is a working farm run by the Murtagh family, which groups can visit for an authentic Irish experience. They can learn about Irish Culture the fun way.
Dance a jig, play the bodhrán, bake brown bread, see the animals in the farm and lots more! Their group programmes are interactive and offer a hands on focus – visitors get to participate in all activities. This is a genuinely superb way for groups to immerse themselves in Irish culture.
Whether you're a sports team or a group of co-workers - the Causey Farm team building experience is superb for improving your team's communication as well as developing leadership skills and problem solving abilities!
They provide two group programmes at Causey Farm - half day and full day. So, whether you have little time or the whole day available, you can enjoy this experience!
The activities offered to "Be Irish for a day" are:
- Making brown bread.
- Learning an Irish dance.
- A Bódhrán workshop (traditional Irish drum).
- A hurling lesson.
- Meeting all the farm animals (hens, sheeps, cows, donkeys, pigs, herd of Connemara ponies, alpacas, goats, rabbits, geese, ducks and turkeys).
- Tractor and trailer ride to the bog (peatland).
- Bog-jumping (students will need to bring a set of old clothes that will be disposed of here after bog-jumping).
- Mineshaft tunnels.
Looking for further teambuilding experiences for your group? A practical coaching session in Gaelic Games (our national sports - Gaelic football, handball and hurling) is great for building up that team spirit - even if you're not a very sporty person!
