A typical tour will start with the friendly and knowledgeable driver/guide meeting your group at your Dublin accommodation.

The first stop on this journey is the lovely village of Hollywood. Known for its connection with St. Kevin's of Glendalough, this charming village once witnessed the passage of many pilgrims on their way to the monastic settlement until the practice stopped in the early 1900s. It is believed that this village has given its name to the renowned Hollywood in California and has served as the set for multiple movies like "Dancing at Lughnasa!" starring Meryl Streep, and "Michael Collins" featuring Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts. You can't miss taking a picture with the iconic Hollywood sign before moving to the next stop.

As you drive along the 26 km street known as the Wicklow Gap Road, from Hollywood to Laragh, you'll enjoy some breathtaking views, as it's one of the only two routes that cross the Wicklow Mountains from east to west. Its spectacular landscapes have made it a beloved tourist spot. Make sure to have your camera ready for a photo-stop at Wicklow Gap before reaching our next destination.

The highlight of this trip is Glendalough, the "Valley of the Two Lakes", and its ancient monastic site. Founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century, enjoy a short guided tour of this site by your driver/guide and walk through the ruins of the monastery. After this, your group will also have some time at leisure to immerse in the rich history and lovely nature surrounding you.

*When in Glendalough, if you would like to add a visit to the Glendalough visitor centre, it can be included for an additional charge.

The return journey to Dublin will be equally enjoyable, as you'll drive through the village of Roundwood, with fantastic views over the Wicklow Mountains.
