Wicklow Mountains Day Coach Tour From Dublin

Experience this full day excursion to the Wicklow Mountains with our coaching partner. This tour is specially designed for our groups due to a high demand on a scheduled tour to Wicklow with one of the fun driver/guides of the EI Travel group. The Wicklow Mountains can be seen from Dublin’s city centre so why not explore this spectacular scenery?!
A typical tour of the Wicklow Mountains includes a West Wicklow Scenic drive,a visit and guided tour of Glendalough and around the ruined monastery, that dates back to the 13th century, the enchanting “Valley of the Two Lakes”. A scenic drive will take groups through areas of mountain blanket bogs, sandy beaches and spectacular waterfalls among sweeping green glens and forests.
Tours can be tailored on request and visits to Glendalough visitor centre or Powerscourt House and Gardens can be included for a charge (see section day trips with your own coach and/or guide).

The Abbey was founded in the 12th Century by Dermot Mac-Murrough, the then King of Leinster. This is an incredible ruin with a mixture of Cistercian and Irish Romanesque architecture. The arches are the Abbeys most famous features with alternative round and square pillars. Exploring the ruins tourist visitors can discover the intricate carvings.

Ref Lough Tay & Large groups
For larger groups ie coach sizes over 33 seater – Wicklow County Council have stopped larger coaches going up to Lough Tay. For large groups doing this day trip – the itinerary is edited and extra time at Glendalough is allowed to make up for this.
