TBEX is the largest gathering of travel bloggers in the world and their 2013 European Conference is being held in Dublin this year. Heading to TBEX this year or just love to travel? We at Celtic Group Hostels know Dublin inside out and we’ve put together a list of the best of Dublin what not to be missed on your trip to Dublin.

Explore the city
If you’re only here for TBEX, the best way to see the city is by the Dublin Bus – Hop on Hop off tour. With informative and entertaining commentary from a local driver guide, explore the highlights of the city from an open topped sightseeing bus. Dublin is compact enough that you can take it all in on foot. Pat Liddy Walking Tours are also an excellent way to see the best of Dublin’s famous icons and hidden gems.

Greenery
Phoenix Park is the largest city park in Europe. Hiring bikes here is a great way to get out and explore Dublin’s breath of fresh air. There are other lovely parks in the city, such as St Stephen’s Green.

History
Ireland has a great many failed and successful rebellions to its name. Kilmainham Gaol tour showcases the history of Irish rebellions and the impact of the famine – you can also see the place where the leaders of the Easter Rising were executed.

Irish Drink
It’s difficult to come to Dublin and avoid Guinness. Get the full experience and visit the Guinness Storehouse where you can drink a pint of the black stuff in the Gravity Bar. Guinness not your thing? Try the Old Jameson Distillery to see the whiskey making process (and try some too !)

Longer Stay
If you have some more time in the city, why not take a day trip? Explore more of Ireland by heading to: Belfast, Galway & Connemara, Wicklow, Cliffs of Moher or the Giants Causeway!
