Learn All About Guinness at St James’s Gate Brewery
Guinness is Ireland’s most famous export product and is sold in Irish pubs all around the world. Its home is located at the St James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, where over 1.5 million visitors learn all there is to know about “the black stuff” each year. This makes the Guinness Storehouse Ireland’s most popular tourist attraction.
On this page, you can book a visit to the Guinness Storehouse during the afternoon for your group. Afternoon tour times at the Guinness Storehouse last from 12 noon until closing time, with the exception of July and August, when bookings can be made at reduced prices from 4.30 pm. However, if your schedule allows for it, we recommend booking your visit during the morning hours before 12 noon. Not only does this come at a reduced price, your group will also benefit from shorter queues and fewer visitors the earlier they arrive.
The storehouse offers much to discover: on seven floors, every aspect of Guinness is explored in detail, starting with the four main ingredients of water, hops, yeast and barley – the intricate roasting methods required for the signature dark colour of Guinness included. The exhibition continues with the Arthur Guinness Story, where animated portraits take visitors back hundreds of years to the origins of the brand. Don’t forget to check out Coopers Café, where your group can enjoy many Guinness-themed snacks.
The Guinness Tasting Experience is all about the flavours of Guinness and how to properly taste them, while the World of Advertising exhibits all the iconic mascots of Guinness from decades of advertising campaigns, including the popular toucan.
Included in the ticket is a voucher for a free pint of Guinness to be redeemed at Gravity Bar, which sits atop the storehouse and offers a 360° view of Dublin and the surrounding area – without a doubt the best spot to see Dublin from above. .
Booking the visit to the Guinness Storehouse as a group comes with some exclusive advantages:
