See Amazing Traditional Celtic Crystal Designs
Located on the site of the “Old Railway Station” in Moycullen Gaeltacht (an Irish speaking area), Connemara Celtic Crystal offers over 40 years of pioneership in the area of crystals. They have endeavoured to include Celtic designs and Gaelic motifs into ornate Irish crystal, all of which is authentic, hand-made and of the finest quality.
The visitor centre gives insight into the inspiration for the Celtic designs used for the crystals, like Irish history and national treasures including the Claddagh Ring, the Brian Boru Harp and the Tara Brooch. The tour concludes with a live glass cutting demonstration, where a master cutter will create a unique piece of crystal for your group and explain each step of the procedure - this is a fantastic insight into a rare and difficult craft.
On the weekend, the factory can be toured on a request basis - contact us for details.
The workshop area and the well-stocked shop are open for visitors all year round, including fantastic gift ideas like Irish knitwear, pewter, pottery and of course jewellery exclusive to the store.
If your group has come here from Galway or any other part of the Emerald Isle, make sure to continue the trip into Connemara with visits to popular sites such as the Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey.
