Overview
Take a step back to in time to Dublins Viking and Medieval past with Pat Liddy, a famous historian and Dublin walking tour guide. This walking tour (which can be also in German, Italian, French or Spanish) introduces your group to the origins of Dublin.
The tour takes place in one of Dublins most historic areas which was originally populated over 2,000 years ago but only rose as a substantial trading medieval town when the Vikings established it in the early 10th century. The Vikings from Norway and Denmark have left a substantial legacy which can be traced in the area that was in the very centre of their Dublin world. This tour will take in Dublin Castle, the historic Christ Church Cathedral area, the West-end of Temple Bar, St Audoen’s Church (founded by the Normans) and the sections of the old medieval walls still standing today.
