Explore Dublin's Part in the Struggle for Irish Independence
Pat Liddy, a local Dublin historian and writer, is one of the best-suited sources you can find on Irish history, making his walking tours popular tourist attractions.
On this tour you will learn about Dublin’s and the rest of the Ireland’s often violent history from ancient times to the present day. By visiting related sites such as Dublin Castle, Trinity College, O’Connell Street and the General Post Office (headquarters of the 1916 Rising), the Garden of Remembrance, Collins Barracks, Arbour Hill etc, the tales of Irish struggle for independence from many different invaders over the centuries will be revealed. While the central story will remain the same we can tailor the tour duration to suit your group.
There's more to Dublin you can discover on walking tours by Pat Liddy - for example the city's early Viking and Medieval history.
