Explore the Dark & Horrible Aspects of Dublin's Past
For something a little different and an insight into the spooky side of Dublin take this walking tour into the macabre! In a city that saw much revolution, grisly punishments, crushing poverty and terrible famine there are bound to be some tales of horrid happenings. Infuse into this the great gothic tales of pacts with the devil, the undead and blood-sucking vampires, you have a cocktail for a deadly tour. Appropriate readings from the great Dublin-born masters of such tales will be read from the works of Charles Maturin, Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, Sheridan le Fanu and the master himself, Bram Stoker.
This walking Tour is guided by acclaimed Dublin historian, writer and walking tour guide Pat Liddy. Pat Liddy Tours can be also in German, French, Spanish and Italian - please contact us for details.
Aside from horror, Pat Liddy covers many intersting topics on his walking tours of Dublin. Special interest lectures for your groups tailored to their area of interest are also provided by Pat Liddy Tours. These lectures are very educational and informative for groups. If your group wants to learn about more authors, not just the horror writers, why not take a Literary Walking Tour of Dublin?
