Explore the Peninsula's Famous Harbour and Hills
Enjoy a day outside of the City with Dublin historian, writer and walking tour guide Pat Liddy. Pat is an expert on all things concerning the city - including the sights of Dublin Bay, such as Howth!
On this tour visit the seaside just 30 minutes outside of the city centre. A trip to Howth will not only get that invigorating sea air into your lungs but will afford dramatic views of Dublin City and the bay from the Summit, one of the highest points in Howth. From there a walk alongside the cliffs will bring you down to the picturesque village of Howth to see a historic ruined abbey and much more. The best is yet to come with brisk walks along the piers of Howth harbour where you can nearly touch the waves of the Irish Sea. The harbour itself is full of yachts and working trawlers. See where the rifles were illegally landed to support the revolution of 1916 and put your hands into the carved outline of King George lV’s feet where he landed on his historic visit to Ireland in 1821. Wear clothes to suit the weather!
