Package 2 of Our Experience Gaelic Games Offer for Groups in Dublin
One of the best ways to experience Irish culture in an authentic way is to play our national sports of Gaelic Football, Hurling and Handball. Take your group to a training session at a typical GAA club in Dublin, where all necessary equipment and experienced trainers will be provided for a fun couple of games perfect for newcomers to these sports. They don’t even have to be particularly sporty – Gaelic Games are all about teamwork and fun.
After the training session, this package takes your group on to a visit to Croke Park Stadium and the GAA Museum, roughly a 35-minute walk from the club. Croke Park is the largest stadium in Ireland (as well as the third-largest in Europe) and is used almost exclusively for Gaelic Games, the exception being the occasional concert. Also located at the stadium is the GAA Museum, where your group can stroll through the Hall of Fame and marvel at awards at the Treasury of Trophies. There are also temporary exhibitions with changing topics to see, so be sure to check their website regularly.
Both the GAA Club and Croke Park are not located directly in the city centre, but a bit outside. Your group can reach the club by public buses No 4 and 9 which takes approximately 20 minutes or for convenience let us hire a coach for your group to get them there and back again.
Would your group rather see an actual local game in action? We can organise that as well – take a look at the Experience Gaelic Games Package 3 for details.
