Tourists enjoyng a bus tour in Dublin

HOHO -The smart option for groups visiting Dublin!

HOHO (Hop on Hop off Dublin Tour) -The smart option for groups visiting Dublin!

We’re big fans of Hop On Hop Off Dublin (HOHO) tours – we’ve taken them all over the world and find them a great way to get a feel for the atmosphere, architecture and layout of a city, as well as getting to visit the most interesting sights.

The Dublin sightseeing bus is a great option for groups to visit attractions outside the city centre, as you can fit lots of visits in the two days covered by the €16 ticket (we can secure discounted tickets for groups). Your bus ticket also entitles you to discounts at every stop – including ‘buy one get one free’ for wine and hot chocolate! Mmmmmm….

Dublin is such a compact city that you can visit a lot of sights on foot. If you’re staying at a Celtic Hostel, then Trinity College/Book of Kells, the National Gallery, Grafton St, Dublin Castle and more are easy walking distance.

The HOHO is the perfect way to get around – if you’re staying in Dublin for more than two days, plan ahead and buy your bus ticket when you’re ready to visit places like the Guinness Storehouse, Old Jameson Distillery and Phoenix Park, which are outside the city centre.

Top Tip
Save time by visiting places in order on the bus route and planning your itinerary, for example:

Day 1: Get off at Stop #10 and visit Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, Dublinia and/or St Patrick’s Cathedral, get back on at Stop #12 and off again at Stop #20 to watch the sun go down from the Jameson Distillery Chimney Observation Tower, following a tour and some whiskey tasting.

Day 2: Stop #13 for Guinness Storehouse, #14 for the Museum of Modern Art and #15 for Kilmainham Gaol (or walk between them), then back off at Stop #17 to visit Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo – don’t miss Dublin’s brand new baby gorilla!

And the best bit? Dublin Bus Tours are currently offering 20% discount when you book online and groups can save even more by booking directly with Celtic Group Hostels.
