What is the Irish Dance Experience?
If you want to learn all the above Irish dance styles and their steps and your group is based in the vibrant city of Galway, along the Wild Atlantic Way, then you can’t miss The Irish Dance Experience. This activity offers educational groups an engaging and lively way of discovering Irish traditions in a welcoming and friendly environment.
What can your group expect during this experience?
- It’s a 90-minute private dance session.
- It takes place in the Claddagh Hall, a historical venue where dances were held in the past. The space has lovely views of Galway’s Long Walk.
- You’ll get an introduction to the different styles of Irish dancing and its rich history.
- You’ll learn the steps of each dance to the lively tunes of traditional Irish music.
- Enjoy an immersive and hands-on cultural activity, the perfect group bonding session.
- The lesson is designed for all experience levels, whether your group is new to Irish dance or knows a few moves already.

Who are your instructors?
All the instructors are local, professional Irish dancers who grew up within the Irish dance culture. Everyone has years of experience; Siobhán, for example, founder of the Irish Dance Experience, is a former dancer of the Phenomenal Riverdance show! They look forward to sharing their love and passion for Irish traditions with you.
