The Irish Whiskey Museum in Dublin
Come and join a tour of “The Irish Whiskey Museum” to take a journey through Ireland’s whiskey distilling history. You will begin from its origins as the Gaelic ‘Uisca Beatha’ to its current revival today.
The guided tour starts with an audio-visual presentation narrated by your guide and will carry on through three more rooms – one a recreation of an old Irish pub – always at the heart of the Irish community, the next a Victorian bar with characters from Irelands whiskey distilling past and the last room with walls lined with whiskey bottles ranging from the early 1900’s to today’s best and most popular brands.
The tour ends with a whiskey tasting session with a master taster who will take you through the scents and flavours of a selection of Irish whiskeys. Even if you don’t have a serious interest in whiskey you will leave with a general overview of some of Ireland’s general history and culture. Take a photo with a huge bottle and glass of whiskey followed by a browse in the shop and maybe even a stop off in their bar/café with wonderful views of College Green and Trinity College.
