Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin
The mother church of the dioceses of Dublin and Dublin’s oldest building, Christ Church Cathedral is one of Dublin’s most recognised and beautiful landmarks.
Dating back to the 11th century, the cathedral and the exhibition “Treasures of Christ Church” reflect 1000 years of history, architecture and worship in Ireland.
Fast becoming one of the most popular things to do in Dublin, the Belfry visit can also be added on to the tour to make your groups cathedral experience even more memorable. The Belfry add-on is conducted by an experienced member of the cathedral staff. It includes the chance to climb the 80 steps to the cathedral belfry, admire the view from the roof of the south transept and the chance to actually ring the record-breaking bells! This exclusive tour is only available to groups and group leaders must accompany the students on it.
