With hundreds of exciting events across the country, National Heritage Week 2013 is a perfect opportunity for you to experience the vast range of cultural heritage that Ireland has to offer. Read on to find out what it’s all about.

So what is National Heritage Week 2013 all about?

  • During National Heritage Week organisations come together from across the country to put on fun and interesting events to build awareness and understanding of Irish heritage.

When does it take place?

  • 17th till the 25th August 2013.

What will be happening?

  • ‘Discover the past, build the future’; the week will host hundreds of events in cities across the country ranging from medieval fairs and historical walks, to workshops and performances. For a full break down of events by location, click here.

Where will it take place?

  • There are 1700 events going on across the country so check the website to find something that’s going on near you!

There will be events suitable for all ages, abilities and preferences. The vast majority of these will be FREE so there’s no excuse not to check them out and learn something new.
