Operational Guidelines in Other Tourism Sectors

All our supplier partners are operating per the specific-guidelines issued, always ensuring the health and safety of guests and staff is the number one priority. Please click on each icon below for an overview of some of the sector-specific measures in place during this period.

 

 

 

  • RESTAURANTS & PUBS
  • Operating with reduced capacity – groups can however, be pre-booked in one seating. Larger groups will split up and timings staggered.
  • Pre-booking essential – it won’t be possible for a group to just turn up at a restaurant on the night without a pre-reservation due to social distancing and contact tracing requirements. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered here – let CGH arrange your group dinner bookings 
  • Seating allocation - groups will be seated to comply with social distancing and will be separated from other guests
  • Face masks – groups will be asked to wear a face mask until they are seated at their table and again on departure or whenever they have to step away from their tables

  • Shared items - all shared condiments and utensils will be removed from the table. No sharing platters possible.
  • Hours of business – presently all restaurants and pubs serving food must have patrons off-premises by 23:30 hrs.
  • Pubs - depending on the size of the pub and complying with social distance requirements – your time may be limited to 105 minutes.

  • COACHING & PRIVATE HIRE
  • Operating with reduced capacity - at this time, coaches can only operate at 50% capacity; only every 2nd seat will be used. All seats unable to be used will have a COVID-19 sticker on it. This may result at this time in groups having to book bigger coaches or two coaches on some occasions.
  • Face masks mandatory policy - it is mandatory for group members to wear face masks on board and for the entire duration of the journey. For day trips face masks must be changed every 4 hours.
  • Seat allocation for the duration of the journey - group members must stay in the same seat for the entire length of their trip.
  • Loading luggage - each passenger must load/unload their own luggage onto/off the bus.
  • Safety on board - at the start of the journey the driver will deliver instruction about safety & hygiene getting on and off the bus etc.
  • No toilets facilities - toilets on board will no longer be available for usage; however, there will be plenty of toilet stops during day trips.

  • ATTRACTIONS
  • Later start and staggered visiting times – to comply with social distancing and reduced capacity, attractions are opening later than usual. For safety, groups visiting will need to be split up into smaller groups and visit times staggered by 10/15 minutes between each group.
  • Face masks policy – face masks are mandatory in all visitor attractions and museums.
  • Crowd control - one-way systems are introduced to allow customers to visit attractions with peace of mind.
  • Pre booking essential – due to social distancing measures and contact tracing requirements, it won’t be possible for a group to turn up at an attraction without a pre-reservation. But don’t worry – we’ve got you covered here – let CGH arrange your programme.

  • ACTIVITIES
  • Reduced capacity – larger groups will be split into smaller ones and start times will be staggered.
  • Equipment cleaning – all equipment will be cleaned and sanitised thoroughly before each games session and each group member will be provided with their own equipment which they must not share.
  • Breaks – there will be breaks given between the different activities and they will be take place outside.
  • Changing rooms - group members are asked to arrive ready for the activities in the appropriate clothing & footwear. For guest safety changing rooms will not be available.

  • GUIDED & WALKING TOURS
  • Reduced numbers on tours – tours will run with reduced numbers. For example, groups of 30 persons will be split into two tours and require two guides.
  • Stops limited on walking tours - during tours, the guide will only stop with the group where he can comply with social distancing requirements and it is safe to do so for the group.
  • Going indoors – on walking tours, the guide will not accompany the group inside indoor visitor attractions and will wait outside to avoid the risk of spreading the virus.
  • Use of loudspeakers - guides who may not have a strong voice projection will use a small loudspeaker to ensure a spread-out group can hear clearly.
