Situated in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains, just 20km south of Dublin, lies one of the world’s greatest gardens. – they were even voted recently No. 3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic. Powerscourt House and Gardens were established in the 1740s and are spread out over 20 hectares. Visitors can immerse themselves in the sublime blend or formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statuary and ornamental lakes with secret hollows, rambling walks, walled gardens and over 200 varieties of trees and shrubs.
All year Monday – Sunday 09.30 – 17.30 (Last entry at 17.00)
Gardens close at dusk in winter (Last entry during winter 30 minutes before dusk).
Closed December 25th & 26th.
