Meeting Point: at your Celtic Group Hostel
Enjoy a day outside Dublin to the seaside without having to travel very far from the city centre.
A trip to Howth (it even has Viking connections) will not only get that invigorating sea air into your lungs but will afford dramatic views of Dublin City and the bay from the Summit, one of the highest points in Howth. From there a walk alongside the cliffs will bring you down to the picturesque village of Howth to see an historic ruined abbey and much more.
The best is yet to come with brisk walks along the piers of Howth harbour where you can nearly touch the waves from the Irish Sea. The harbour itself is full of yachts and working trawlers. See where the rifles were illegally landed to support the revolution of 1916 and put your hands into the carved outline of King George lV’s feet where he landed on his historic visit to Ireland in 1821.
All Pat Liddy Themed Guided Walking Tours can be tailored to the group’s interest!
Private tours run all year.
Each tour lasts max 3 hrs, unless tailored to be longer/shorter.
